Saddle Up for Spinal Research! DUET is working with the Spinal Research Organization and their campaign, Saddle Up, to raise money for spinal cord research.
The Saddle Up Campaign was started in 2000 as a way for equestrians to raise awareness and funding for spinal research. To date, the campaign has raised over one and a half million dollars for research.
The 2007/2008 year is DUET's first in helping Saddle Up. Each member for DUET will have friends, family, and members of the community sponsoring them at each of the ten regular season horse shows to raise money and awareness for Saddle Up. In addition, DUET's own horse show on November 4, 2007 was a fundraiser in itself. DUET sold Saddle Up sweatshirts, wrist bands, and accepted donations.
