Karlie Tighe Year: 2008 Major: Nursing Riding Background: When I was 4 years old, I started taking riding lessons and showing in the tri-state area. My parents soon bought me a large Welsh pony named Shadow Dancer, and I showed her all the way from leadline to fences. I rode until I was about 12 years old, but then became involved in other sports during middle and high school, and donated my pony to a school for handicapped children. After a 10 year break, I started lessoning again in October 2007, and joined DUET in January 2008. I will be showing for DUET as an IHSA Alumni this year! |
