About us

Who we are:

TechServ is a student organization at Drexel University, founded in March 2002. We are comprised of students of all majors and classes and are all volunteers. We currently have space for a refurbishing center but are in need of funding. We work to write grants to support the licensing of software to put on the computers that are donated to us as well as purchase the tools and equipment needed to refurbish and repair effectively the donated hardware.

Mission Statement:

Our mission as a student organization is to help bridge the Digital Divide in the Philadelphia community through community service that focuses on technology. Our members will teach classes that help raise the rate of computer literacy among residents of Philadelphia, provide computers to non profits, communities of faith, schools, community centers and families to increase the opportunity for residents to access technology, and support and train residents how to maintain and support what technology they may already have.

How to contact us:

Send an email to techserv@drexel.edu.

If you are interested in requesting a donation of computers or other equipment for your organization, please fill out this form and include it in the email. You are also welcome to show up at any of the TechServ meetings, which are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7-9pm in MacAlister 0020.
